the ol' devil on the shoulder motif
and apparently I don't really have an angel on my shoulder. I have a faerie. Faeries are ALWAYS up to some dickery. Wonderful

Still searching for a good costume design for the Demon form and the
Demi-Human form.
This was the first attempt trying to find a shape for the demon form. The
silhouette is fine but I have no idea where I was going with it. I didn't like the legs because I have a bigger demon with those type legs and I want him to be the only major character with those legs.
So taking a little time I tried to figure out what type of legs to give this form and still have it radically different from the upcoming
Demi-Human form. Here is where I figured out how I wanted the head/ face to look like.
This pic is fucked all but good. I was trying to design on the fly and the pose, proportion and form suffered. I spent too much time without pulling back, so this is only good for reference now. I like the lower body design but still trying to figure out the upper body, even at this stage I am thinking about patterns and colors.
This was an early Demon design which I pulled out recently and thought it would be perfect for the
Demi-Human. I just have to implement the similarities.
This is the final look for the Human form. A mix of
Cyber and Punk. She will go well with her weapon.
The rendering part will take care of any other details in terms of fleshing this out. Essentially I want music to be a big part of this. So this is an Axe or Guitar if you will. This is like a 3 in one thing. The neck splits and acts a
sheathe for the sword. I added gears to go with the
Cyber part and movement when it changes into an axe ore something.
A design sheet of Asa...I like her outfit took forever for me to finalize it though
I was in a bad mood last night....and I've been messin around in paintchats lately
nother paintchat doodle
ahhh I should really get around to finishing this. This is bein sculpted out of Sculpey clay

Found one!
Well after fleshing out a story with a significant amount of detail I have found a design that has a world in which it belongs too. I have created a brief in which all other characters will follow. So after this character I will create either her brother or her guardian.
This was done with a
Prisma marker, for the sake of the
silhouette. Scarlet has 3 forms and I wanted the
silhouette to have recognizable shapes. So the bush pigtails was something I wanted to keep because in demon form the horns can take the place of the pig tails.
Also done with a
prisma marker, mainly because I have no idea what I want the demon to look like. The heads were experiments with the shape of the horns. The 2 top eye looking things are constant shapes through out. I think the shape reads well, so as soon as I finish it I'll put er up.
This was the first part of the design process for the costume.
Cyber goth/ punk. Even the weapon I decided to keep. I still like the idea of a guitar so I kept it. Kinda like
Nevan from
DMC 3.
Further fleshing out the design. I'll put up the finish sketch later today, no need to drop everything at once, right?
Now entering: VOID city.
Today's been a pretty good day for me :)
BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I need to get some bad drawing habits out of my system, and I need your help.
Below you'll see my work for my entry for the young version of Kyle Kongo into
Void, but I KNOW there're areas where I could tighten things up.
I'll post what I've noticed, but if there's anything else, feel free to let me know :)
Okay, in the sans-jacket frontal view, I'm actually pretty happy with it. I just need to:
-thin the right arm
-thicken the thighs
Now, for the sans-jacket rear-view, however:
-arms seem stiff or positioned incorrectly
-concerned about elbow positioning
-don't like the way the collar works itself around his neck and will re-do
For the with-jacket rear-view:
-neck too long
-gotta polish up those swords
For the undergarment rear-view:
-elbows are FUX0RED. I could DEFINITELY use some advice on those
-got to match up length and thickness of the arms
And I'm toying around with ideas in my head for the look of the Rumble Blade. The Electro Blade I've pretty much got covered.
LAY IT ON ME, GUYS!

Practicing...
These are all thumbnails originally sized at 3 by 5 inches then blown up. I might do an overlay to further flesh it out, but chances of that happening is slim cause this was just practice. So as I am fleshing out my story I am getting more ideas that I wanna try. So on my luch breaks I try stuff out, this is all new to me...I hate my job and practice is my way out.
screenshot of a WIP. This is Tin Nyanko from Sailormoon fame. I wanted to try doing a darker piece so we'll see how she turns out
