hmm, I'm battling a terrible art block at the moment so this is all I have to show D: I guess I can draw the rest of her leg. I like it so maybe I'll attempt to finish it and CG. I don't know when the last time it was I CGed something. damn art blocks

Sorry guys, but I'm moving on thursday, so I've been kinda busy getting that together. If I find something on my comp then I'll post it up. But chances are I wont. I guess time will tell!

Today is a Doomz day!

TODAY IS A DOOMZ DAY!!!

Yeah, you read that right. Why do I say this? Well - today's sketches feature none other than the namesake for my most oft-used screenname: doomsdayblaze. I know where he fits in to the stories I write, but I haven't had the chance to officially pencil him in as of yet, so it's given me many an opportunity to tweak his design until I'm happy with it. This is what I have for a bust shot at the moment - I inked his eyebrows, but nothing else as of yet:

But I didn't finish it, because originally I didn't know what his armour would look like from the waist down. Eventually, I came up with this design - a bit inspired by Gladiator:

But what would a dude encased in a sick suit of armour be if he didn't have an equally sick sword? Hence, his as-yet-unnamed sword of flames (here you see it materializing into its solid form):

And finally, an update on the sketch I had of eight characters all in a cut-off headshot look - I like how it turned out:

That's all for now, folks! I have tons of crap to take care of! Have a good one!

*hem-hem*

I'd just like to commend Rodrigo, Wage, Scorpie and myself for all posting on Wednesday =) Scorpie's going to kill us all, but I got Aerith to teach me how to cast Life 2, so we should be okay =)

Scorpie's post was #150, so we're headed in the right direction!

Keep up the good work all - hopefully we can eventually find ourselves getting back on track with our schedule - ha!

Monday post RE-MIX!!!

*MA, LOOK! ANOTHER WEDNESDAY MORNING EDIT!!!*

Okay - I have work tomorrow at 9 in the morning, so I shouldn't stay up too late getting this out of the way. Let's see...

Well firstly, this week's moral is to never ever EVER put a new video game in front of Casey. My brother brought home a copy of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and let me tell you, since Sunday I've been tearing through it. However, it's TOTALLY de-railing all of my plans and sketches that I have lying around - I get in front of the TV and feel compleled to find out where the story's going. Horrible, I says.

Anyway, today's sketches. Let's see...

So as I sit here eating Salt & Vinegar Lay's chips (PRODUCT PLACEMENT!), I bring you four sketches. The first was one I did of my friend Binh while enjoying a Lemon Green Bubble Tea with Tapioca at Bubble Republic, one of my semi-regular hangouts. I think it turned out decently =)

And in an uncharacteristic move from Doomz - I bring you fanart! This is all drawn from that crazy ninja manga, Naruto.

***DISCLAIMER***: If you're not following the manga, there may be spoilers afoot below! Don't say I didn't warn y'all!

First off, we have the humble beginnings of what will be a mural dedicated to the oh-so-polite villain Orochimaru. He's too bad-ass to not do this for, so I think it'll be good once I get it all together.

And of course, for those of us not living under a rock when it comes to Naruto, you'll know that Chapter 306 marked a fairly momentous occassion - it's the first time we've seen Sasuke in light (i.e. his full outfit and appearance) since he left his home village of Konoha several years ago (about a year's worth of manga). Due to this, fanart needed to be done. Or at least started. To be honest, I'm not too happy with either of them at this stage in the game - some tweaking will need to be done to both before I consider them passable.

Anyway, yeah - back to hiding and playing Paper Mario for a week or so. See you guys sooner or later =)

Happy Days

Day 3...tire repaired and ready to go.

So I got a new bike frame that set me back $200. Then I found out the bottom bracket is european. So my pedals from the first bike wouldn't fit. So I ordered bottom brackets. Had to wait a week cause they came from the States.

Perfect fit, but then my spindle didn't fit. So I had to buy new cranks and wait some more. $160 dollars later the finally arrived and the installation was a bitch!

Took it for a test run, pretty good. Then I went out to my sweet spot (parking lot behind a school), did a few manuals, took a breath and all I hear is my tire hissing. I was like, Fuck!

So now it's all better, cause yesterday rained all day so I was stuck inside. But not today. If I draw something I'll post...until then, I'm gone ridin'.

Return of the Scorpion

So I've resumed work on some cards for AWA over these past couple weeks. This here is Chibimoon. The scanner apparently didn't like this pic and over saturated some of the colors and darkened some things. It's better looking in actuality. She turned out well.
I think I previously posted the CGed version of this card. The marker version kicks its ass so here you go. Much better looking now.
random sketches...I've been kinda unsatisfied with my art lately so I'm making an effort to draw more action and expressions and stuff. Bleh

VesVes...Sailormoon villain. Sure wish I'd pay enough attention to actually stay in the lines at times ^^;

back from the dead

I was waaaay overdue, I've been in such a slump of drawing. Lets kill it off.

cover your chest!

Here are a couple of shirt designs I did because I had an interview at a clothing place and though I should have something along these lines. It's getting hotter out these days, don't forget sunscreen if you burn easy.

Okay, let's edit the hell out of this.

EDITED EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING.

Right - so I'm two days late - I don't even have a decent excuse for that. I just didn't feel like drawing. There - you happy?

Anyway. Let's see what random madness we have in store today!

(1) Some random comic image I came up with - why? Who knows. I sure as heck don't.

(2) A preview of how in-depth I'm going with the drawings for Fish & Chimps. The amount of detail I'm trying to pack in the panels is probably a key source of delay for the strip. That and my laziness. But it makes me practice new ideas and styles, which is always good.

(3) Some sketches I did of a really pissed off G, who'll appear before the end of the current arc in Fish & Chimps.

Yo, I'm tired. I'm OUT!!!

I love Red Heads.

I love Red heads, but I have yet to come across a hot one that wasn't a pornstar or has no ass. So this is the revamped goth girl.

As I was doing a turnaround of the first version, I just wasn't feelin' it. So I made some changes. A couple of changes. I made her a red head.

The first one is the ideas of what she'll wear. A cross between goth and punk. The second is a tattoo sheet. All the places where she'll have tattoos. Hopefully the world she lives in and the spawn of characters will follow.

boom!

Sorry guys, Blogger was 'systems down!!' so I could not post. I'm not sure what I have to post for today, plus I'm late! I will post this tiny happy avitar I made for a friend of mine. And it can kind of be a place holder till I dig up some proper stuff later. enjoy! Here is another picture. You see, I cosplay. And there is a website called 'cosplaylab.com'. It's not the best of cosplay sites, but, they do have look-a-like contests every now and again. Where they pick the character, and then people with in so long send in pictures of themselfs, and some clips or offical art of the character they are dressed as. A lot of people have really good costumes, but, often these mixed contest pictures arnt so good, just because people dont have the design background to pull them together. Well, there is FINALLY a cowboy bebop contest for Spikes, Eds, and Fayes. So here is my picture I'm entering. I only had so much room, but cause this is the size they wanted them at. I tryed to 'cool it up' with nifty things going on aside from just pictures. Make it a bit more organic. etc. anyways, enjoy!

Alright.

Sorry guys, this week's post is gonna be sparse. I'm in the midst of a stressful situation, and the art isn't flowing like it should. Right.

So here's what we got this week:

(1) Right, so I'm working on redesigning my website, so my first idea was to have headshots in place of the revolving images that are there right now, but I wasn't too keen on the idea as time passed, so I scrapped it.

(2) So instead, it looks like it'll maybe involve some full body shots instead. But I don't think I'm going to keep the revolving images, anyway. I might have one main opening image (possibly revolving), and a constant for the majority of the site content. We'll see what I come up with (when I get this stress out of the damn way).

(3) I kind of like what I'm coming up with for the body shots, though, so I'll probably continue along this vein. Oh, and Clare, by the way - I realize there's not many wrinkles in the clothes. I wanted to integrate that more in the inking - it would only get lost in my pencilwork.

(4) Heh. Found this sitting in my to-do pile. A ballpoint piece of Nick that I greyscaled. I should finish it up for sure.

Right - hopefully next week I'll be a bit calmer. Until then, have a good week, guys!
