Boo to Steel toes!

Man I remember how much I hate uncomfortable steel toe shoes. Back in a warehouse for a bit and tomorrow is going to suck. All the rest of my time is spent on my bike. Spend like 2 hours + per day. Except these past few rainy days.

Last week sucked cause I had to get a new axle. I put it in and it was working so perfectly, not even a sound and rolled like an angel sores the skies. But it was backwards, so I had to take it off again and it's been fucked ever since. After yesterdays ride my bearings are now making Silent Hill sound effects. So tomorrow I gotta deal with that so I can practice some back wheel tricks.

Any how I digress. I drew this today, well the sketch anyways. Been doing a few trying to find a pose I want . So what it is right now, model sheet, then relaxed pose, then an action pose. Since this is of BMX and Skaters the action poses will be some type of trick.

I colored Mr Fro puff cause I wanted to try cell shading again cause I haven't done it in so long. It's not going to go up anywhere cause of the obvious problems. But the cel shading led me to try it on the model sheet. The next one I am gonna paint like what I did for the Punisher( I didn't draw it, it was a bullshit test). Should look better cause I have learned a few things since then.

quiet here...

hmm...not sure if I like this or hate this. Colored pencils, marker, white pen...bleh

Wai wai

because I'm a fluff brain this week, I completely forgot about posting on Wednesday. I've had enough of this art block so yeah, screw it. I've drawn 3 new cards but too lazy to scan them....

apparently I'm still a fluff brain because look at how this post is formatted. Whatever deal with it.

Ok, so the blue picture which may or may not be on top, is my character Asa. She controls water which i neglected to draw but will probably obscure most of her bottom half.

The second pic...another character o mine. The fire user...which I also neglected to draw but will add in with CG.

Aiight then.

Yeah, I think I'm taking a little online break. I'm still going to do the things I'm supposed to, but I probably just won't show my face on the messengers as much. We'll see. So I went out for coffee with my friend Areej this morning for SIX HOURS (11:30 pm - 5:30 am), which was cool, 'cause it was a psychotic amount of laughs. Always good to have some of that sometime. I also did some sketching while I was there - I'll post what I think is most relevant for now. You guys might remember that some time ago, I posted a picture of my Fish & Chimps characters as cute hand puppets for my Fish N Chimps 4 Kids idea. Well, I fleshed out the idea a bit more last night, coming up with the life lessons that my guys would (fail to properly) teach to kids, and designs for them that were a bit more refined than before. Here ya go:

So yeah! Hopefully I can make some progress with this over the next bit - I kind of have an urge to draw at the moment. Peace y'all!

stepping off my day!

This is Kakashi of Naruto fame. Without his trusty mask. I found a damn good fanfic to read with him in it and it actually inspired me to draw this. Man shoulders are so much different to draw than girl shoulders. Hmm

W is for Wednesday!

And working my ass off! Damn! Things've been crazy since I got back! Today's post from me is going to be a tad lacking, but that's mainly because a lot of the stuff I've been drawing lately is oversized, and I just don't feel like multi-scanning/taking photos right now, or it's spoilerish, and I don't want the people who actually follow my comic (aka the ladies) to get too far ahead of what's to come.

Right, so here's what's up today:

(1) Anyone who follows my DeviantArt page will have seen this already. I did it while I was on vacation, on a pad of paper that my buddy Jon provided me with in Long Beach (as I was separated from my sketchbook at the time). My main issue with it is Nick (located at the far right), as I messed up his eyes and general look. But eh - gotta keep trying, right?

(2) For Fan Expo 2006, I figure I should diversify my wares a bit. So, in that light, I started drawing some chibi characters that I'll probably use for stickers or bookmarks or something. Call it selling out if you will, but it allows me to try out different styles rather than just focusing on one thing. And also, I need to cover the cost of the table and materials, so why not?

Shino from Naruto:

(3) Finally, this image was originally a roughly done sketch that pre-dates the Doomsdayblaze images I posted a few weeks ago. I saw it lying around, and took the ideas I had from his armour, and integrated those with the jacket he was wearing in this sketch, and came up with what you currently see below. I like how it turned out.

Anyway, that's about it for now! I'm going to work on wrapping up some things for the night, and in my quest to constantly progress. Feel free to let me know your thought on the pieces!

Peace,

boo! Why is her head so huge in here? -_- Still fighting art block folks.

7 1/2

Not clear cause most of it is still in blue. This is about 7 1/2 heads, maybe 1/4 either or, doesn't it look short?

Hi, every-body!

(Hi, Dr. Nick!)

Well, here I am! Back in one piece from my vacation, and back to my job, working on tiring myself out all over again =) I see that everyone's been keeping busy - whether it's posting here, or dealing with life in general, people seem to be all over the place.

Anyway, I just woke up from a nap, but I have a lot of organization yet to do from all the sketches I did on the trip (apparently I may have left some behind in Cali - oh noes!), as well as just getting my head back in regular mode.

So give me a bit and I'll see what I can round up to post!

Until then,

Skate or Ride?

Been some time since I posted, reason being I haven't really done any drawings. I draw everyday, but doodles that I wouldn't bother wasting the time to scan. Also I've been on my bike allot and I like it. So right after this post I'm going for a stroll.

So the concept behind these characters is; Skate Boarders vs BMX riders. Now the tension between these parties diminished when Roller Bladers came on to the scene. So I am drawing them before the bladers.

I wanted to come up with a logo for this, but having trouble coming up with a name. I was gonna do Skate or Ride, like a ref. to Skate or Die from the NES days. I still want to do one more character for the skaters, but trying to come up with a look and personality. The WIP character is the main skater, but I am gonna find a better pose and redraw it cause something is really wrong and I ain't likin' it.

The art block...

it pains us Precious...this is just sad. I've got some crappy sketches I've done but nothing of note really. :(

Couple of sketches

Slow day at work! Had time to doodle a fool and a magician.

ATTENTION BLOGGERS: Wage was last seen journeying through the plains of the Congo, looking for strange artifacts and lion burgers. His whereabouts are unknown thus, if you have heard of him, let him know that lion burgers go well with ketchup. Hopefully his caraban hasn't been attacked by swarms of Tse-Tse flies.
